Harry Truman decided to use the atom bomb because he was convinced it was the only way to defeat the Japanese, and it was a way to save more lives by avoiding the invasion of the main Japanese islands.
There is a HUDGE difference between that and what you want to do. There is no necessity for us to nuke a city of a Muslim state, and in fact doing so would only pit more people against us, including moderate Muslims and well the rest of the world.
