I do not think they want to get caught up in a quagmire of anti-Bush measures. I think they will play it safe for two years to show they are "sincere" in bipartisanship wherever possible. They want the White House. An all out attack on Bush could show they have no agenda at all, and they have nothing positive to bring to the table. This election was more about what the Republican party has not done than it is about what the Democratic party can do. Even Hillary Clinton admitted that now that they have won they need to put together a comprehensive plan. Shouldn't they have had a plan before they were elected? |
