And exactly what is it the top generals are saying? Please explain this claim.
And while we are comparing Vietnam to Iraq, our country was not equipped to deal with Guerrilla warfare just like it is not doing such a great job dealing with terrorist type warfare.

I have always said, that we need to fix the fuck ups we caused in Iraq before pulling out. I don't doubt there are some terrorist there now. They are there because we are there, not because they were there to start with.
You never have once addressed us spreading uranium all over Iraq after all the times I have mentioned this. I think our obligation to the Iraqi people goes far beyond eradication of terrorism. Your reasons for staying are self-preservative. You have, more than once, expressed a true hatred for Islamics. Your happy that the dirty bombs we used will be killing and hurting these people for decades to come, aren't you? Tell me how we were right to use dirty bombs to take over a country we 'thought' had a nuclear weapons program. Dirty bombs have been deemed weapons of mass destruction. We used them everywhere. Just admit we screwed up or admit your approval of the use of these weapons. The people of Iraq will hate us no matter how well we get thier government running, and get rid of Al Quada, if we leave all this radioactive waste everywhere, so your point is pointless.
Bush thought he could get his puppet government elected and failed. Now, because of this, there is a civil war going on. None of the politicians want to admit this. We are stuck in the middle of it(and probably started it) because of all the choices our President made to start with.
I have never said we should just pull out of Iraq. I have said we should admit we were wrong to use dirty bombs and then actually clean it up. Has it occured to you that if we actually help these people instead of just claiming we are helping them, that the Iraqis may then actually help us do away with the terrorists?
Politicians are already in control of the war in Iraq. Our polititcians, not thiers.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour
