The environmentalists were directly attributing it to global warming, which was leading to melting arctic ice, which was leading to warmer ocean climates, which was leading to higher ocean levels, which would - AND THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT THIS! - lead to increased numbers of hurricanes, as well as increased intensity.
Only problem is that they were WRONG. Again. |
