Got it. | I think it's pretty clear that if Perot hadn't run - then quit - then jumped in the race again, Bush #1 would have been re-elected. Lots of disgruntled Republicans voted for Perot.
Also, as you know... a "landslide" of the Electoral Vote does NOT mean that it was a landslide of the Popular vote.
My speculation...
- We would never again have heard of Bill Clinton.
- Al Gore would still be in the Senate.
- George Bush #1 would have been followed by another Republican President in 1996.
- We would have had a Democrat voted in as President in 2000.
- He would have been replaced by a Republican in 2004.
- George Bush #2 would never have been the current President. |
