This is what I think is so messed up about the death penalty. To me, we're giving the absolute worst criminals a free ride. Most people would want to be put to sleep rather than live out the rest of their lives living in a hellish solitary confinement with just your conscience to haunt you for your every waking moment. | True. People go insane in solitary. The death penalty alleviates them of years of hardship which they deserve for whichever crime they comitted.
What was the name of that man who was convicted as a co-conspirator in 9/11? Am I the only person glad he didn't die, that he'll live in the same 6x6 square room all the rest of his life? |
