I wonder how much anyone could look today and see the way things are based on the way things were... What of Yalta and Tehran Meetings of the High Mucka Mucka's circa WW2? The generational scope of anything we say, do and commit to now too must be weighed in the light of a yet uncharted future. Who we assist, how we assist and for what reasons will all come to play for our children's children... Remembering is good, but looking ahead may be of greater value, since we are told that we learn from history that we learn nothing from history. OD |
