They use different numbers, but they measure and mean virtually the exact same things.
If a student takes both tests, you can look at the scores of one and tell what his/her scores in the other will be.
And for the record, I evaluated - for years - high school applicants requests for Dollars For Scholars grant money. While SAT & ACT scores don't say everything, they absolutely do say a LOT of things! Show me a kid who scores 10 on his ACT and I'll show you a life-long minimum wage earner. |
