dmk | First of all i don't know of ANY liberal leftist that approves of Stalin's USSR. Stalin was a ruthless dictator and NOBODY denies that.
Ho Chi Minh?? wasn't that the dude that kicked the US out of Vietnam? I dunno why you would attack him as inhuman. it is well known and DOCUMENTED that US soldiers killed millions of innocents also. Like with the Napalm. Or with the extermination of VC villages. So Vietnam is hardly the place to get on your high horse. No doubt Ho Chi Minh was a violent man also. But criticism of him is amusing when it comes from the OTHER brutal party int hat war.
Hmmm Castro... well what can i say. He's hardly the role model for socialists. Lots of young people have poster of Che Guavera hangin around. But that is firstly because a super awesome photo series exist of him and secondly because he was killed before he managed to dirty his name. As far as the world remembers Che was a rebel fighting the Batista regime.
Socialism isn't an evil. I can not for the life of me understand why some people get so agitated at the thought of higher taxes for free education, healthcare and housing.
The simple fact is that socialism has shown itself to be a sustainable and beneficient system for any nation in which is has truly been implemeted. And there is no point waving the USSR around as the failure of socialism. The USSR was a rape of socialist principles. So what f they called thsmelves socialist. Socialists THEN and NOW condemn the ridiculous practices of the communist suppressors. just like they condemn chinese communist suppression.
Wrong application of good principles does not invalidate the principles. When will the world get that. Love for all, Hatred for none |
