These people are barely US citizens, agreed, but that doesn't write off our obligations to preserving certain unalienable rights. It doesn't mean we can hold them indefinitely and make them do slave labor for trying to make a living. Unalienable connotates that it applies to all humanity, not just Americans. They're breaking our laws, but they're foreign nationals; hence our problem lies with the Mexican government, not with people trying to survive.
