Good information for people to know Lidwen. Social Security does do some looking into false records. I was asked several years back about my SS being used by what appeared to be a farm worker in another state. The SS office worker asking the questions could see the obvious mismatch on the information. Ironically I had work for myself for more than twenty years. So there would have been very few places that even had my SS number at that point in time. I do believe that in the future you will see that more employers using false SS numbers to retain their alien workers will be prosecuted for fraudulent reporting. It is rightly so that illegal activities of employee and employer fraud should be prosecuted and fined. If these employers that regularly use illegal aliens were fined for their fraudulent activities then this money pool could be used to offset the current expenses. Employer fines for false reporting should be directed into the the national gaurd and border patrol since they are in charge of helping to prevent alien invasions into our country.
