3. Bullcrap. Those words, randomly ranted, will NOT land you in jail. They MIGHT, if they're clearly accompanied by malicious intent.

1. Carlin actually makes some good points, most notably in the field of religion. He's not a final source, but don't badmouth the king of comedy.

2. That doesn't have much to do with planning. It hs to do with a U.N. resolution warning Iraq. After that we invaded and pretty much fucked te place up. Remember in the beginning of the war all that rioting and looting, and how the treasury itself was robbed? Doesn't that suggest that we couldn't secure the country? Isn't civil unrest a very common part of "liberating" a country and an immediate concern? Yes, so why didn't we deal with it? Because our plan was military, not political. This is like Hannibal's victories over Rome. We knew how to attain victory, but not how to use it.

3. You'd be surprised. Especially in the post-Columbine years, people have taken phrases like "I'll kill you" way out of context and used them in court. Nowadays I have no doubt innocent people are in prison for "suspicion" of terrorism, which is essentially hearsay.

4. Here's a better plan of action in going into Iraq. Even a moron could make this.
-Enlist U.N. support. The more friends, the better, and the less pressure on you
-Follow basic military plan from before
-Instead of bribing Baathist commanders into surrendering, force them militarily into surrender to prevent any chances of irate soldiers starting shit up
-Close the borders to anyone attempting to get in or out. Don't focus all your time and energy on insurgents in the central part of the country, because you don't need too many soldiers to deal with them
-Take major cities and put in MPs as soon as possible to quell rioting and maintain order. No "venting" until the victory parades.
-Celebrate alongside the people. Act like friends, not occupiers, and gain their trust.
-Don't wait to deal with Baathist insurgents. Find where they're congregating and take them out immediately
-While the country is still unified and happy, start to organize local military forces, enlisting the help of local militias if need be
-Get an interim government in there ASAP and schedule elections
-Fix the infrastructure, create a strong economy

Some things were done right, some wrong, but the point is that Bush's original plan was flawed in that it didn't take care of things when it needed to. Instead, he waited, and tiny cuts that were the insurgency were allowed to fester into open sores which became a civil war.
