Sorry if this is a repeat, I didn't have time to read over all of the posts, but;

Actively hunting down people who left their country for refuge reasons is something North Korea does. But, I'm assuming we're talking about people who don't go through the legal procedures of moving? Well, in many countries you can seek asylum and it would be legal. But I'm sure they would have to present conclusive evidence that you feel unsafe in your own country.

I know a good majority of Canadians are trying to get their government to provide for American conscientious objectors that sought refuge in Canada, and to recognize their status. And many Canadian citizens formed their own groups to provide for them. If these people are caught by US officials, they would be sent to jail. There have been quite a lot recently, obviously due to the Iraq war. I don't think the US should actively pursue these people in another country. I believe soldiers have that right and duty to conscientiously object if their orders are illegal. And it doesn't matter if you think the Iraq war is righteous, it's still in more than one way illegal and illegitimate.
