Minimum wage is starting pay for a job. As I mentioned, if the company has starting pay, that outweighs minimum wage. They can go higher, but employers will want to cover up the fact that their employees are immigrants by paying the same. Still, there are plenty of people paying below the minimum. So many arrive that they're practically a disposable commodity to employers. My town has a stretch of highway upon which you can name a price and a few workers will jump forward. Of course, you might need to know a little Spanish, but they are willing to work below the minimum wage. I've never done it, but it happens. | You just don't read before you write, do you?
