Wow, lets see 1st there are cuts to the adminstration of Medicaid, some 12 million dollars, which just goes to prove that the bureaucracy is too large in the first place.
Second, the BUdget is lowering the inflation adjustments. Everyone loves to complain about the high cost of medicine, well folks, one of the reasons is that the government sets the cost of testing and procedures for Medicaid and Medicare, as a result those that actually pay for their own care, face higher costs. So instead we are seeing the government finally acting fiscally responsive.
Third, Medicare is going to raise premiums on those that have higher incomes, where are all our friends who so love to see the rich pay more??? Here it is, a Republican President actually giving them what they want, they should be cheering at the top of their lungs!!!!
Finally, 8% of the cuts are a result of a bill passed and signed into law in 1997. Let us see, who was President then.....hmmmm was it that great Democrat Bill Clinton. Bush is letting something Clinton did to stand, again where are all the Republican haters that denounce everytime this President changes something that Clinton did, again they should be on their chairs cheering.
But of course, that is not the case.......OKAY BOYS AND GIRLS CAN YOU SAY HYPOCRITES!!!!!
dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk- |
