By Wilson's own admission he was sent to Niger by the CIA, well the first question anyone would ask would be who sent you. Officials, again that official is his wife. Second he said it was at the behest of the VP, again, the VP and documents provided by the VP have shown this not to be true. Third, he says that he proved that a sale never occurred. However, this does not dispute the report that Iraq attempted to obtain the sale. His statement the sale did not occur is not saying that an attempt was not made, he never addresses this issue. And members of the British Intelligence and of the Niger government to this day say that the statement is valid.
Again, Wilson acted as a career civil servant and had a bone to pick with the administration, so he wrote a scathing report. As soon as he published the editorial immediately one would suspect that his motives and his facts would be checked. Wilson brought this upon himself, and upon his wife. If not for his wife, Wilson would never have made the trip. Again who outted Valerie Plame...........JOSEPH C. WILSON 4th............her husband.
dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk- |
