Yeah and the reason is simple, it is much easier to stay with a party that will give you money than to go with a party will you will have to work hard. Until Roosevelt and the New Deal, blacks were and voted Republican. But how soon they forget, for if not for Congressional Republicans in 1964 you could kiss away passage of the Civil Rights Act, but that is gratitude for you. Instead of favoring a party that treats you the same as everyone else, instead you remain with a party that supports the status quo.
