The Pelosi camp is denying that she wanted the C-32, which is basically an ultra-luxury version of the 757-200, and costs the American taxpayers $22,000 per hour to operate.
Former House Speaker Hastert flew in a C-20, which is a 12-seat jet.
The problem, claimed by Pelosi, is that the C-20 might not be able to fly non-stop from Washington DC to San Fransisco. But hey, if security during re-fueling is her concerning, why couldn't they just stop and re-fuel at some little po-dunk town out in the middle of nowhere. I mean, good grief, do we really think there are a lot of potential terrorists in, say, North Platte, Nebraska? What Hastert flew in: What Pelosi wants to use: Or how about making ALL our Congressmen & woman fly commercial? The flights are going to happen anyway - so why create extra air traffic and pollution?
