People complain when we go forth on our nation building tactics and try to help the betterment of this world, but the second they need help they criticize us for our lack of immediate jump and enthusiasm to help in international relief from crisis. I am deeply sympathetic to those families who lost loved ones in the tragic natural disaster in Southeast Asia, and I send extended sympathy to those Americans who were hurt through the events. I am supportive of private donations made by Americans to help in the rebuilding of the disaster-struck part of the world; however, I see the necessity for the American government to be cautious in its aide endeavors-keeping in mind that we are at war and countries affected by the tsunami are known to house terrorists, who show hatred toward America and mankind.***

It amazes me how out of touch people are in regards to world opinion about the U.S.
The reason we were criticised in regards to the Tsunami was Iraq. When the lies about WMD's and a connection to 9/11 didn't pan out the Bush administration said we were there to "help the Iraqi people" in so many words. People then took a poke at Bush and the administration for this obvious BS when we were less than speedy in "helping people" with Tsunami relief. |
Shit Face, there are other current events and causes for things other than 9/11 and the war in Iraq. Not all personal opinions and political viewpoints have to do with Bush, Iraq, and 9/11, or John Kerry (people still like to throw that asshole's name around) . I am with sexyconservative on this one, people are always going to criticize the United States and their policies, and some assholes, like yourself are going to relate it to Iraq or some other non related topic in order to justify to themselves or to others that their viewpoint is legitimate. |
