Your points are generally hate filled rhetoric about the 'evilness" of others. To me that is the quintessential copout. It is the last resort of those who desperately cling to their beliefs in the face of rationality and logic. Unimpressive, pointless and blatantly indicative of the dubious footing of your opinions.

I happen to be a radio show host ( howard stern-esque i would call it). In my time as a DJ, i have done shows on Pak-India relations, the intolerance of religious parties, gender discrimination, religious discrimination, minority rights. traditional dogma, military rule, alcohol and drug use among the youth, sexuality and promiscuity among the youth and a wide variety of socially sensistive topics.

I openly discuss, debate and promote freedom of expression and religion, ethnic and gender equality, and MOST OF ALL DEMOCRACY.

And i do it UNARMED, with NO ORGANIZATIONAL BACKING and ON THE RECORD. I NEVER speak of destruction or of armed resistance. I NEVER speak of punitive measures to deal with issues. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY i NEVER claim to have a monopoly on the truth.

You are right in saying that there is a certain risk involved in such public display of progressive opinions. It is a sad situation in Pakistan that make my friends constantly advise me to "tone it down". What YOU say is precisely the government sanctioned line ( there's a good little mindless "patriot"). What "I" say is often contrary to MY government, putting me and my family at risk.

So you may call me a coward all you wish.. but "I" challenge the establishment , YOU merely agree to what they say. I derive my OWN opinions, whereas you agree with the "party line" and defend it even in the face of rationality. I risk censure, loss of my job, arrest and aggression from fundamentalists, whereas you risk NOTHING.

And yet you somehow or the other manage to find it proper to call ME a coward?

Little man i know more, think more freely and influence the world in favor of peace FAR MORE than you do.

Oh btw about defending Islam.. listen i don't defend terrorism or any of the other stupidity and cruelty committed in its name. I just happen to know that YOUR view of Islam is ignorant and prejudicial. I only seek to defend a religion against false impression.. sort of like how i defend christianity against prejudice and ignorance in Pakistan ( you forget that half my family are danish protestants.. as my mother is - she never converted to Islam). Trust me i would do the same for Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Paganism, Wicca, and ANY OTHER RELIGION that was falsely villified. That's called objectivity. Try it sometime you mental midget.
