But this is right back to the same circular thinking, finger-pointing and cry-babying of the Democrats, circa 2000 in Florida.
And you know as well as I do that the military has typically and traditionally voted FOR Republicans, because Democrat Presidents typically decimate the military.
What's far MORE likely is that the military would have voted 65%-75% FOR Bush, had the ballots been allowed. And that's a FAR cry from what our short-term Bush-hating soldier was trying to say. |
Either answer is reasonably possible. The majority may have voted for Bush or voted for another candidate. It is a moot point since there is no way that we can even know.
The military has traditionally leaned republican, but not by that big of a margin. (Among the enlisted, anyway.) The percentage split would be more along the lines of 57%-67% for Bush. Also, They vote at only a slightly higher percentage than the population in general.
My basic point was this: It is entirely possible for the majority of the military to dislike Bush and it not be reflected in the vote. I'm not quite sure why you are so bothered by this idea. |
