A soldier? I suppose that depends on whether the soldier is intentionally killing innocent civilians, or "doing his job" doesn't it?
Eating meat? Sure, call it murder if you want. But you're going to have a hard time convincing any intelligent person that a chicken is equivalent to a human being. |
But do you see, that is the argument. Let us compare abortion first to the death penalty. Never mind that the criminal who is being put to death has had a trial and been convicted by a jury of his peers, never mind that the inmate now has had numerous appeals, never mind that the criminal actually committed a crime in the first place. The only crime of the unborn is the irresponsibility of the mother and the father.
Of course, abortion is just like war......sorta like football, huh??
And now we see the all time pandering to the far left - animal rights activists.
This is their arguments, they appeal to the most wide-ranging of all groups and muster support. The one question they never answer, honestly is, is a fetus life???? If they admit that the answer is yes, well the argument is over.
dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk- |
