Did the ice storm slam any of you guys? We lucked out with the roads slick but no powerlines down.
I lived in Albany N.H. during the ice storm of 98' and it was harsh.
It was the most incredible, natual, audio experience of my life though. I lived right at the edge of the White Mountain National Forest and you could heard hundreds of different size branches breaking at once. It had a sound like glass and gunpowder, as if all sizes, of hundreds of guns, were being shot at once at bottles or windows. We could hear one tree fall up on the mountain, fall through the smaller branches, and hit the next and it would snap and hit the next. I went up there a week later and there were hundreds of trees downed. Branches were everywhere and the power was out for 2 weeks for us and up to 7 weeks for some. It was a mess.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour

There are many men of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle. ~Alexis de Tocqueville
