On the other hand, no matter the outcome, I DO believe that the 2008 Presidential Campaign & Election will be VERY interesting! I predict:
- The DNC will have a raucous, derogatory primary season - as evidenced by what Obama & Clinton are already doing. Whichever candidate moves onto the General Election, that candidate will be bruised and bloodied. And that will be taken advantage of by the Republicans.
- The GOP will ONLY stand a chance IF they field a FANTASTIC ticket - and they're going to have to have both an outstanding Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidate. One or the other can't carry the ticket.
- The GOP Primaries will NOT be as nasty as the DNC Primaries. THIS is the ONE major "dark horse" in this whole thing. The GOP could head into the Generals at full speed, while the DNC is heading into the Generals bludgeoned and staggering.
It promises to be a VERY interesting run! |
