If the death penalty was a good deterrent, why are people still comitting capital crimes? Shouldn't they be to scared to get the death penalty. I think it is pretty easy to figure out that when someone is murdering someone, they do not stop half way and take it to a state with no death penalty. In fact, studies show that regions with no death penalty (or significantly fewer executions) have lower crime rates. I understand that statistics can be misleading, but there are a lot in support of removing the death penalty compared to the no statistics that have been provided on the other side.

You can have your opinion of the death penalty, but it is just that: an opinion.

Here are some numbers.

When the president talks to God
Do they drink near beer and go play golf
While they pick which countries to invade
Which Muslim souls still can be saved?
I guess god just calls a spade a spade
