Regardless of the manner in which he died, he still died serving his country. Was he killed by friendly fire, yes, but it occurred during armed conflict with the enemy.
I seriously question the motives of the Chronicle and Nation in this story, especially in which the writer states, Quote: | For a chicken-hawk Administration led by a President who loves the affectations of machismo but runs from protesting military moms, this testosterone cocktail was impossible to resist. | Hmmm, last time I remember checking the facts, the President actually did meet with Cindy Sheehan. So I guess the author was lying right. Another in a long list of lies by the media, so what else is new.
Regardless of what Pat Tillman thought, he still served, and did his duty. Many a military members may disagree with the war, yet they do their duty and continue to reenlist at record numbers. Try as the media might, the facts never support their claims.
