Where did you first learn about condoms? In a sex ed classroom? I doubt it!
Where did you first learn about Birth Control pills? In a sex ed classroom? I seriously doubt it!
Also, it's pretty unfair to teenagers to just say, "Hey, here's a box of condoms. Now go out and screw like piggies!" That's not helping anything.
I don't think that "abstinence only" is necessarily the best way to go. But good grief, let's not be acting like teenagers "can't help themselves." Aren't you an intelligent young lady, PC? Aren't you capable of making intelligent decisions for your self and about your future? Aren't you smart enough to know that there's a difference between love and just sex? And can't you see that there are FAR MORE consequences to teenage sex than just the possibility of pregnancy and/or STDs?
THAT is what teenagers need to be learning! You don't need more information on how to put a condom on! |
