There was a political cartoon in the San Diego Union-Tribune (SignOnSanDiego.com > Breaking news from The San Diego Union-Tribune: Classifieds, entertainment, sports, hotels and visitor information) this morning. It showed the Sunnis and Shiites, looking like worms out of a can, fighting each other.

The reasoning of the cartoon was it probably means that when the USA and its allies went to war in Iraq, it opened a can of worms, meaning the two factions fighting each other, and the US is in the middle of it. And the USA should get out.
