I know they are making a tremendous sacrifice to ensure our freedom and safety. It bothers me to no end that when they volunteer to go into the military, they are to do as ordered. That is not to desert, or refuse to go in any way. Otherwise, why did they sign up in the first place?

I can understand their reasoning wanting not to go: fear of dying in Iraq, the people who are in harm's way there, due to terrorist actions, just to name a couple.

Now, having said that, do you think if the USA had not gone into Iraq, based on what Bush felt were WMDs that, that the war on terror could have been less harder to fight in Afghanistan.

Did Bush ever know that a can of worms would have been opened in Iraq when he let the door open for the Sunnis and Shiites to main each other in car bombings, especially?

I've heard a few years ago that one of the Islamic terrorists said that the USA should be under Islamic rule. And I hope NOT.

BTW, the photo of the dog in your avatar is beautiful. A beautiful dog.
