I'm sorry, but Reagan was the one standing up to the Soviets. I was only a baby at the time, but I've watched many documentaries on Reagan. The weapons arms race is what ended the Cold War. Reagan rebuilding and strengthening our military is what made the Soviet Union collapse as they couldn't keep up in the race. Remember the Star Wars program?? Sure it sounded stupid to many, but the Soviets BELIEVED it! |
