He stood on every general election and most bye-elections for decades, and always lost his deposit (meaning he got less than the absolute minimum percentage of the votes).

Miraculously the OMRLP managed to win an election in 1991 when Stuart Hughes, took the "safe" Conservative seat of Sidmouth Woolbrook on East Devon District Council!.

Sadly Lord Sutch committed suicide in 1999. UK politics was much the worse without him.
