Most operations in Iraq now are planned, led, and staffed by the Iraqi military now. Yes our troops give them support but mainy our troops are guarding prisoners. They say we have trained and put into place around 200,000 iraqi soldiers and around 60,000 police officers. Seriously people we are spending trillions of dollars on this country. We have done our part. Now I'm not saying that we should be involved at all, but as we train more of them, more of our guys should come home. But for some reason Bush thinksthat our 250,000 roops and iraqs 200,000 and around 50,000 from other countries calls for anothr 20,000 troops? We have provided the democracy, the training, and a crap-ton of money. Its time forthe NEW iraqi govt to take control of their country and rebuild. Just because thereare still innoccent people being killed by criminals over there doesnt mean that we need to invest so much into helping them. We have hungry kids in the states and we are speding trillions of dollars per year to police a country that can now police themselves. Oh and one more thing. Our troops over there are ill-equipped. Some done even have the proper equipment to defend themselves. This is a money issue. At this point I feel like that oil is partially ours. They owe us. Bush is an idiot and I cant believe that someone who has brain farts ever 15 seconds is our countries leader. What ever happened to only needing 100,000 troops and it will be over in a year?
