| If you can honestly sit here and say that Don Imus isn't a racist, then you are probably a racist yourself. His comments were far from inappropriate. I say the basketball game that he was referring to. And quite honestly, most of, if not all of the Rutgers females were rather unattractive. But why not just say that? Why not just call them ugly if thats the joke you were trying to make. The term "nappy headed hos" wasn't directed at their unattractiveness, but squarely at their race. Just once I'd like to see these obviously racist talk show hosts like Imus and Limbaugh just admit it. Don't offer a fake apology just because everyone is upset, and then make a similar comment the next day. Just come out and admit your feelings. While you may still be hated for your comments, at least you may gain some measure of respect for your honesty.
And as far as Imus being fired. What difference would it make? The next day there would just be another one to replace him. |
