Has anybody considered the fact that most women in prison shouldn't be having babies at all?

Pregnancy is not a reason to pardon a woman convicted of a crime, OTOH, being convicted of a crime should not sentence a woman to continue a pregnancy which can only end in her losing her child.

If they truly wanted abortions why didn't they get them before they were locked up?
Timing? She didn't know she was pregnant until she was already incarcerated. Or she didn't want an abortion until the incarceration meant she wouldn't be able to care for the child.
The greatest danger to liberty lurks in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding.

So be careful what you ask for.
In the past I experienced a few heated discussions with certain persons claiming they had the right to do so in "public facilities".
The ACLU has little common decency in many matters of what should and should not be allowed to be displayed in public facilties. Now they want warnings displayed that sex is not allowed in public bathrooms?

Either way she loses the child but at least the child survives

Serving time in prison for committing a crime has a lasting effect on anyone's life.

At least she has the joy of knowing she brought a new life into the world and won't have to wrestle with the guilt of having an abortion for the rest of her life.

I read they are re-modelling that famous Larry Craig airport bathroom and extending the partitions from ceiling to floor.

Why not do this in all public bathrooms to provide some privacy and avoid the problem of soliciting??

The fact remains one loses certain inalieble rights when they commit a crime.

If she was so concerned about caring a fetus to term it should have be considered prior to her criminal activity.

Actions and reactions we pay the price for our actions and we suffer the out comes of our own choices. We lose certain rights when we do not obey the laws.

You'll have to take that up with the design architecs Gary. It still does not solve the problems of sexual solicitations in public bathrooms. It would give them more privacy though.

If a woman has the means for the abortion though, she should be allowed to have one. But all costs should be paid by the prisoner.
