Maybe not the death chamber, but something.
Not while Roe stands. And face it, Regan, regardless of his promises, didn't do anything about Roe. Bush Sr. didn't. Bush Jr. hasn't.

And the powers that be in the Republican party aren't going to. Roe is the goose that lays their golden eggs.

If you say so, but SD put an absolute ban up to vote once and it failed by a slim margin. If it gets approved by the voters, it'll be up to SCOTUS to again rule under yet another argument. It was changed once, it can be changed back. Since "legal" is a relative concept if you aren't gonna rely on what if "right" as support.

If it gets approved by the voters, I doubt the SC will even hear the argument.

BTW..Legal is not a relative concept. Laws get thrown out if they are too vague.

I didn't say vague, what I said is that "legal" can be relative. Meaning when it leaves any tangible support, it can be anything the latest bench thinks it is. The fact that you can have a 4-3 ruling proves that "opinion" rules, not anything concrete.

Only an anti choicer could refer to the Constitution as 'nothing concrete'.

The Constitution may be concrete. But interpretation is where the problems begin. Laws change from state to state, so obviously there is some fluid in the translation. And "anti-choice" got nothin' to do with it.

Abortion restrictions may only vary from state to state during the last trimester. Simply because Roe only allows the states to enact abortion restrictions during the last trimester.

States are not allowed to 'interpret'
Roe to mean that they may restrict abortion before what is allowed by Roe.

There is no 'fluid' in the translation.
