I dont think there is anything "melodramatic" about the preservation of human life.

And you didnt assume thats what I was talking about, you knew damn well thats what I was talking about.

If you think it necessary to preserve ALL human life, don't you think a woman should be required to TRY to get pregnant every month if she isn't already pregnant? After all, those eggs that a woman produces every month are human and alive, and they're gonna die if she doesn't get pregnant.

I dont thinks its nessesary to preserve all human life. But starting with the innocent wouldnt hurt.

If those eggs could become a full human being, all on there own you'd have a point. Im for preservation. I never said anything about forcing women to have babies that they are responcible enough not to concieve.

A fertilized egg CAN become a full human being IF circumstances are right. An unfertilized egg CAN become a full human being IF circumstances are right, meaning it must meet a sperm first. Eggs have the POTENTIAL to become full human beings, but they are not until they develop some of the physical characteristics we consider to be human, such as a brain.

The fact that you have resorted to such ignorance leads me to believe you have throughly lost this argument. I accept it as a sign of defeat. You will be well treated.

Please point out what part of my post is in error. BTW, Grace, you cannot win this argument. Perhaps you and your like will succeed in criminalizing abortion, as others did in the past. And as others did in the past, women will continue to have abortions, legal or not. Rich women will be able to travel to get safe and legal abortions, poor women will resort to back-alley butchers and do-it-yourself kits. But they will have abortions when they choose.

But since we are talking about an abortion. The pregnancy has already bee verified and the egg is already on the way to becoming a human being. All successful abortions start with what is assumed a living embryo and ends with a death. No if, maybe's of possibles to it. Abortion is killing.

That's true, but we all know the outcome of jamming a tool in the vagina and sucking it out. That's pretty much absolute ain't it. I doubt THAT was in the genetic plan at conception.
