You mean his quote where he talked about KILLING EVERY BLACK BABY IN AMERICA???

(Interesting how you left that detail out...)

Yeah. I have no idea why he was "lambasted" for that one...

You never actually heard the clip, did you?

That was NOT what Bennett was saying.

Actually, I HAVE heard the clip.
It's right here:

BENNETT: Well, I don't think it is either, I don't think it is either, because first of all, there is just too much that you don't know. But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could -- if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down. That would be an impossible, ridiculous, and morally reprehensible thing to do, but your crime rate would go down. So these far-out, these far-reaching, extensive extrapolations are, I think, tricky.

Now, I realize that there is some context behind that statement, but I was ACCURATELY STATING what that statement included, and ACCURATELY STATING why people had a problem with it...

My point?
I was pointing out WHY he was lambasted.
When YOU SAID you did not understand why he was lambasted.

Take notes if you need to...

I just bought Freakonomics.

I've heard good things about it. I'm off right now, so I hope to get a lot of reading done.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

I think what people ought to be discussing is why abortion should still be a legal option, rather than why abortion is good.

That being said, I think abortion is great.

Off from school and work. I don't see what's so shocking about that.
