| Nothing is 100% certain, not even sterilization. 2% failure rate doesn't sound like much, but when you're one of the 2%, you're 100% pregnant. The greatest danger to liberty lurks in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding. --Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis | |||||||||||||||||||||

Don't tell me you buy into the myth of post-abortion trauma....there's NOTHING to it. In fact, giving a baby up for adoption causes more emotional trauma. Certainly, women who give birth also have "issues" afterward concerning what they chose. | Most women who have abortions want to have children later, when they are better prepared to care for them. Total hysterectomy is not done for sterilization purposes, it is far too radical. Be real Grannie. The majority of women seeking abortions are NOT the ones who have been sterilized!!! You know, y'all on the pro-choice side like to play with the small numbers. And trump them up with so much "freedom talk"... Back in the days of abortion being unlawful, there were, sadly, women who did seek out abortions in back alleys. Or attempted them themselves with knitting needles and such. And it was grievous ...but those numbers were much smaller. And "unwanted pregnancy" was not so rampant. People mostly practiced more mature restraint concerning sex. Turning abortion into just another means to not face pregnancy or childbirth or child-rearing, was done because of the few who were otherwise desperate and sought out dangerous means to eradicate the life in the womb. And now speaking of FEW, you even mention the FEW who get pregnant after sterilization. FEW!!! Not a viable number to base an argument on. OhDear | ||||||||||||||||||||||
