If you get an abortion, you have no right whasoever to bear more children. Incest and rape would be the exceptions here.

Exactly, and that is why one should be allowed to make his/her OWN decisions, and not have them made by others, who may mean well, but do not have a complete understanding of the situation.

I'm so glad YOU're NOT the one determining women's rights. Why exactly do you think it is OK to kill a fetus resulting from rape or incest, but not OK to kill one resulting from failed birth control?

Well, it's hard to argue with that one. I never said that I advocate abortion being declared illegal again. I just wanted to emphasize the gravity of such an act and how you would be the one to deal with it for the rest of your life.

I would also like to say that if you get an abortion because it "inconvenient" to have a baby at the time, you have absolutely no fucking right to create a new life when "you decide you are ready."

Rape is the result of nonconcentual sex. Incest gives rise to retardation and deformities. Failed birth control is the result of a fuck gone wrong. Anymore questions?

Fact is, abortion is really a non-issue. It is not that is was made into a law. It is that is was deemed legal per certain parameters decided upon when the Supreme Court interpreted The Constitution and Laws.

There is little to no chance that you who are pro-choice must be so vehement to extoll this as your right, to keep it. As women's rights. As freedom.

What you ought to be doing now, is the same thing that the pro-life supporters ought to be doing...educating, exampling, and bringing support to women who are faced with unwanted pregnancies.

Abortion, whether legalized or not, ought not be "just another" means to birth control. And it ought to be the exception rather than the case in those crisis pregnancies.

The fact that so very many abortions have been performed and continue to be, since it was found to be within the rights of a woman, is a sad critique on community in our nation. Abortion is a very serious procedure and ought not be done so capriciously. And it ought not be justified with all the hogwash of selfishness guised as a freedom.

The fact is, many many abortions are not performed as a freedom, but in desperation. If it makes the pro-choice folk feel better thinking they are "giving" something to the woman in crisis, by waxing eloquent about the rights and freedom afforded by Roe v. Wade, think again. All that talk from the pro-choice side does, is somehow assuages the guilt of those who are pro-choice but do nothing to help a woman keep her baby.

It would do no good. It would just fall by the wayside just like "AIDS awareness education" has. You just can't properly accommodate stupid people no matter how hard you try.

I disagree. If the majority of women seeking help in a crisis pregnancy would feel support from the community without condemnation, she would not opt to abort. In fact, that has been my experience, what I have seen...

That said, I am talking about girls, not women who are middle class white women who find pregnancy an embarrassment or setback to their career. I am not talking about the women who are in unhappy marriages, staying for the financial comfort. I am also not talking about the women who are stepping out of their marriages and don't want a baby to come of their affair.

You would think that swallowing a pill wouldn't be too difficult to "educate" these middle class girls to do. Quite frankly, with the exception of a few isolated cases, there is no excuse for unwanted teenage pregnancy whatsoever.
