I'm 50. My wife is 59 and has had a hysterectomy. Our daughter is adopted from China. The only reason I would need to get a vasectomy is if I have an extramarital affair. Since it is generally acceptable for men to have such affairs (but definitely not women), what do you think I should do?

I would think that you should do whatever is in your best interest. If you think you might have an affair, and don't want anymore kids, you should get a vasectomy, though I don't think you would have an easy time explaining it to your wife! If you aren't concerned over cheating, then don't worry about it.
