It's scary that you don't seem to realise that. I have a hard time believing that you really think that we are equal but different, which is what I think. If that is your honest sentiment, I would be pleasantly surprised.
If you believe that women are equal but different then why do you consistently portray women as victims and somehow disadvantaged??

BTW do you know this week is Administrative Professionals Week formerly National Secretaries Week?

"Over the years, Administrative Professionals Week has become one of the largest workplace observances. The event is celebrated worldwide, bringing together millions of people for community events, educational seminars, and individual corporate activities recognizing support staff with gifts of appreciation."

As most secretaries are women here is YET ANOTHER example of how women get preferential treatment over men just for doing their jobs! For some reason they think they deserve gifts, flowers, lunches etc.

Why isn't there a coal miners week, Jiffy Lube workers week, roofing contractors week etc etc??

This clearly contravenes laws covering gender discrimination in the workplace and demeans attempts by women to achieve parity with men.

I believe we are equal, but society has still got work to do in that area. It wasn't me that was oppressing and enslaving women throughout history. We have come a long way in the U.S. and in some other countries, but when there are women still being stoned to death for being raped in other countries, we can't ignore it. And when we have communities right here in our country that practice forced child marriage and motherhood, it shows that we still have much work to do in the area of women's equality.

Gary, are you really pretending righteous indignation now concerning your attitude and statements about women on this board? If I must, I will post some past comments that show your bias, but it will have to wait until later this morning.
