The OD I know, doesn't lie about what she posts...So it's safe to assume that YOU are not OD then.

"In this article" tells anyone reading your response, you are specifically talking ABOUT THE ARTICLE...

"the sexual practices of the gay community are cited" tells anyone reading your response that you are saying that the article cited something about the sexual practices of the gay community...

"as those with greater risk" tells anyone reading your response, that you're stating that the article specifically talked about homosexuals being at greater risk...

So you did indeed say exactly what I pointed out you said...And the article didn't say one thing about homosexuals in regards to the abstinence only eductation article or anything about what they were at higher risk of STDs in regards to abstinence only education...

YOU added that assumption into the discussion...Not CF...She made no statements in regards to homosexuality at all...She was strictly providing an article talking strictly about abstinence only education and the controversy surrounding it in regards to sexual education for HETROSEXUAL TEENS.

The only person here, trying to steer the discussion to being about homosexuality or it's risks is YOU...Not the article, not CF, or anyone else here but YOU. And you're probally doing it so FX and Gary then can join you in yet again, highjacking yet another thread having nothing to do with homosexuality, and turning said thread into discussing homosexuality...

thats the problem if you push abstinence only, you miss the education about condoms, etc that actually prevent problems. it is actually possible to have education that includes abstinence as one option among many. there seems to be this myth that sex ed is either about abstinence only or promiscuity only.
