I guess it's all perspective. At least they aren't laying people out on tables cutting their hearts out, wearing animal skulls on their heads, or standing in the same street corner blowing themselves up. In a way, that's quite a mild thing to do. It could be worse.
"We", as in society, just sent our representatives on the FLDS ranch and ripped 400 kids from their homes off a unsubstantiated abuse report of a 16 year old. Most of the kids are nowhere near 16 and IMHO, it much more abusive to take the kids away from their parents and lifestyle just because we don't understand them.

So it's mild to protest someones funeral, claiming the deaceased will burn in hell for whatever stupid reason the WBC has dreamed up? I wonder if the families of the deceased would think their actions 'mild'...

"In then name of God", yeah, it could have been worse. They could have planted bombs or shot at the funeral procession.

It's all a matter of perspective.

To some it can be said you have somehow been brainwashed to think that the "mass of cells" or "clump of tissue" that we all came from at one time is nothing and can be tossed aside like trash. Personally, I think standing around holding signs pales in comparison.

There's more physical confirmation that "God hates fags" than there is that supports that a human embryo is just a "clump of tissue".


Personally I'm against both acts. But I would probably support just standing with a sign before I'd support killing a embryo.

The kid could possibly change his views, but it's unlikely, having been brainwashed from such an early age. There should be laws against this sort of thing.
