These number's are almost a decade old. On top of that it states over one in 5 pregnancies end in abortion in America. In other words people are finding there way to clinics.

many adults could not survive on their own either. put in a situation where they had to find their own food, shelter, etc, many people would be ok but many would die very quickly. look at what happens when people are rendered homeless or get lost camping or survive a plane crash in isolated places; they often do not survive for long. this is not a good measure of independence in a social animal like us.

The point relating to abortion is that a 4 year old cant survive independantly at all. Wether its the actual mother who cares for the child or someone else, a 4 year old is just as dependant as any stage before, even in the womb.

Grace, your point is irrelevant. It isn't about surviving on it's own without someone to care for it. It is about what age a fetus can be born without dying. Until it can sustain life without it's mother's body, it is not a person, or an individual with all of the rights of the born. A four year old would be cared for by another adult, and so would a fetus that could survive outside of the uterus. Even if the fetus needed life support to live, it is still living, so it is viable outside of the womb. A first trimester pregnancy cannot do that, no matter how far we have advanced in the medical community, and that is why it is legal for terminations in the first trimester.

Yea, cause thats what I said. A 4 year old depends on his/her mother for food, shelter, clothing, ect ect litteraly cant live without these things.And according to you, because of that, you should have the choice to kill him/her, using the same logic.
