Level up: 38%, 113 Points needed | | Abortion more accessible in Europe? Is is possible that Europeans will liberalize abortion laws while the USA is making abortion less and less accessible? European lawmakers debate abortion laws - International Herald Tribune
"STRASBOURG, France: European lawmakers on Wednesday clashed over a report calling for abortion to be decriminalized across the continent and for women to be granted access to a safe interruption of their pregnancy.
The issue pitted those who classify abortion as murder against an abortion rights camp.
The majority of the members of the Council of Europe's parliamentary assembly backed calls for women to have the ultimate decision whether or not to end their pregnancy. They voted 102 to 69 in favor of the report, which will now be sent to governments for consideration....
Abortion on request is not available in Andorra, Ireland, Malta, Monaco or Poland, and rights also are restricted in Cyprus, Luxembourg and Portugal — mostly on religious grounds. In some less developed European countries,.. "

Level up: 38%, 2 Points needed | | It's always mostly on religious grounds. It astonishes me that some people who are incredibly intelligent could have such magical thinking. I hope that there is a god, I'm not an atheist. But it is people who need to take responsibility for their own lives and leave god for their personal inner experience. |

Why do you think God should be constrained to a "personal inner experience" like some sort of fantasy figure?
Or is this how you rationalise doing things which you know are against God's will?

Bullshit. The nearest one to my town is 50 miles away. And there are several towns between here and there. Not to mention the dozens of towns in the other 3 compass directions from here that don't have one.

Yeah but that's Alabama. Those towns probably don't have doctors or dentists either, let alone hospitals. Just a general store, a blacksmith and a saloon.
