Seriously, of course the man should have a say.
But there is (and should be) no legal way for the man to contradict the woman's decision, and force her to either abort or give birth.

If the woman decides to give birth against the wishes of the father, should he still be legally compelled to provide financial support?

This non-argument reminds me of that lame argument used by gun nuts "if we have gun control laws the bad guys will ignore them so why bother"??

There are some people who will ignore ANY laws but that isn't a reason to stop making them!

I've decided abortion is a good thing. Those that get them probably should. Just lets you know why there's so much disease rampant in our culture. Cause you know if a woman gets pregnant, protection was either misused or nonexistent. Nasty.

Once he has left his deposit, the choice is out of his hands. It is entirely up to the woman to decide her future. If they are a couple, they might keep it, or come to a mutual decision to terminate. If however, they disagree, the decision is ultimately and solely the woman's. We are not reproductively equal Gary, or hadn't you noticed?

If she decides to keep the baby against the father's wishes should he still have to pay child support by law?

So you don't support sexual equality any more?

Reproductive equality does not exist, nor can it. If you deposit your share, you are stuck with what the woman decides. Sorry if you didn't like my explanation, but it was fairly clear. If you don't want to support babies, wrap it up or keep it in your pants. The father doesn't get to say he doesn't want to pay after he played, duh.

SO you oppose sexual equality, unless it happens to favour the woman?

Here's some thoughts:

Women should stop spreading their legs to every John Thomas that happens about.

Women should take an extra responsibilty to use birth control techniques. After all, THEY are the ones who get pregnant.

and use contraception that is guaranteed 100% effective. which does not exist. and never get raped. and never concieve a foetus with major genetic or congenital abnormalities.

tough ask.

Finally, most fathers of babies of women who wish to abort don't give a rip shit and would rather not have the burden of child support for the next 18+ years.

often true, not always. some fathers like the idea of having a child when their partner does not. some couples disagree about termination for medical reasons, such as congenital abnormalities.

see, its difficult to make blanket statements. a case by case approach works, even if does sound like waffle.

Gender equality and reproductive equality are two different things. Humans are equal in every way except how they reproduce, that cannot be equalised. Mother nature gives womne the brunt of the responsiblity. Now stop acting like you're daft and give into the desire to agree with me.
