What is the conundrum here? If a woman doesn't want a baby it is her right to terminate it in the first trimester. If the man does want it, if he has been informed of the pregnancy, that changes nothing. He is at the mercy of whatever the woman chooses. He made his choice when he left his sperm in her body. And when that child is born, it is his responsibility to support it, by the law. If he didn't want to be a daddy, he should have wrapped it up or kept it in his pants.

And the reasons aren't because I think so. They are because that is what the law says, and what any one with an ounce of common sense would agree upon. Women cannot be forced to be mothers, or incubators for a man who wants a baby. That is part of our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Deal with it.

I simply want the right to be sovereign over my life, and my beliefs and I don't need a man who could not relate to my experience to feel that he has any say over my right to pursue my dreams. So what if the woman wants an abortion, but the father wants the baby? Could the father take the baby and go raise it with someone else? Does the father have the right to say, "hey I want this child, and if you don't want to help raise it, let me have him/her and go raise 'em with someone else?" Should he be allowed to do that?

NO, not in the first trimester. That is ultimately the woman's choice. If she decides to have the child, the courts intervene in any irreconcilable differences the parents might have about custody and support.
