Well as with most of your points, your point is pointless.

Why? Because you say so and you're a man? My point is entirely relevant, you will never be pregnant and will never be in the situation that a pregnant woman is in. Plain and simple, not too hard to understand. The only time your opinion is relevant on this subject, is if your wife is pregnant and she wants to have an abortion, and decides to let you know about the pregnancy.

No, because this is a debate thread about abortion. My POV is just as valid as any other.

WT that's ridiculous.

I could state a similarly crass truism and say that you will never know what it's like to be a man or a father.

Does that mean your opinion about men and fatherhood is irrelevant?

What happened to your unerring insistence on gender equality??

A woman and a man have entirely different reproductive parts, and they aren't equal in their reproductive functions, so no, Gary, they aren't the same and don't have the same functions. A man will never carry a child inside him, and that is just a fact. Sorry if you don't see that there are differences, yet we are to be protected equally under the law. It is a woman's issue in the first trimester, no matter how hard you try to weasel into it.

It's a "woman's issue in the first trimester" because that's the legal opinion on the subject. But biologically it stops being a womans issue the moment she allows a man to place his semen inside her. Choice stops there. Just because we have medical procedures to interrupt the natural progression of human life, and some humans have found a way to diminish the importance of that fact and mentally convince themselves that that "mass of cells" amounts to little more than nothing, doesn't fool anyone else who isn;t falling fro that bullshit. Legalized Abortion is the willing pre-meditated government sanctioned killing of a human being. It's just a few months better than throwing a girl baby in a river as some societies have a history of doing..

Seriously? You think that a doctor removing something that isn't even a fetus (I'm 19...I don't know pregnancy cycles, I hope to avoid that with all costs) from a woman is almost equal to killing a LIVING (as in, doesn't need the support of another human being's body to survive) baby girl by causing her to drown and suffocate to death? I personally think one is a lot more severe than the other...and it's not the abortion.

To the contrary, a woman's choice to have sex does not make her the property of the state, the property of the man involved, or anyone else's property. Her body still belongs to her and she has the full range of choices involving her own body.

Timing is everything. An egg and a sperm are unimportant to anyone until they meet, and in that moment (actually several moments), instanteously, the egg and sperm are all important and worthy of the sacrifice of the woman who holds them in her body, to some people, that is.
The greatest danger to liberty lurks in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding.

They are both equal in intent. They are ending an unwanted life. They only differ in timing. Call it "after birth abortion" if you like. The result is the very same.

Which of these two contradictory statements do you want to support?
