unless there was a specific effort to perhaps covertly film doctors, plant microphones in cunsuting rooms, send in under cover cops pretending to be patients to set up the doctor by requesting a termination. this is what it would take to police it, but if this is preferable to you, i suppose you would support it.

this would of course send them underground, or require women to seek out untrained help, or just do it themselves with a coat hanger.

In order for you to find out if a woman was planning an abortion, or to charge with a crime after an abortion, you would need to impinge on most of her rights to do so. That is what I'm talking about, and if you can't follow an idea through to it's end, that isn't my fault. And in the Old Testament it says that a baby didn't start with a soul, it is entered into the childs body during the last stages of pregnancy, or after the "quickening", when the first movements are felt. Not my words, but the O.T. and the early Christian fathers. Now, I know that you like to think otherwise, but you can't make all women think the way you do.

In other words, not only does no one else have a right to make a woman's medical decisions (including abortion) for her, they have no legal right to know an abortion was even performed. And that is how it should be. We have rights that are protected under the 9th ammendment of the Constitution, even if they are not specifically stated in the rest of it. But people who don't read the Constitution don't know that and they obviously think that they are free to control women like property when they are pregnant.
