And that is where you go off the deep end, into controlling a person's body, in an attempt to hold them to your moral standard. And the law protects women from that, for a very real reason. It is up to the woman in the first trimester, and the state takes over in protecting the interest of the fetus after that. You cannot take away a woman's rights to give them to a being who isn't developed and couldn't live outside of her body. For she is already an individual and it isn't yet. Abortion has always existed and it always will, whether it is legal or not. And that is an issue between a woman and her conscience or her God. You'll just have to deal with your discomfort over power being given to a woman to decide her own destiny.

You can't control that. And you never will. That is why you've got to let it go. It isn't for you to decide, even if you make it illegal, it will still happen. The whole country doen't have to belive the same thing that you do.

i think citing "gods order" counts as a religious view. but there are a few pro lifers who are not guided by their religion, but most are. their faith is their rationale for morality.

It is when they are more interested in establishing their faith as the only acceptable lifestyle and forcing their beliefs onto thsoe who don't feel the same way. Your morality has no place in my uterus, only your own.

not intrinsically. but you have to be aware that even though your faith feels absolute and without doubt to you, it is always just your opinion. to think you can force your religious morality onto everyone is nothing short of oppression.

It probably would still happen. But at least the body count would go WAY down.
